cant give away my new source haha
i cover the whole south east of england for work so on my travels i pop into charity shops ,auction rooms to see what i can find
but this was the best haul to date def

no i wasn't asking so as to crash your party as i dont even know where you live.it was out of curiousity as as far as i know the larger charity shop chains - oxfam,sue ryder,cancer research,etc - all have central valuation staff so subbuteo and other collectable items are very unlikely to make it to/stay in their shops but would go to auction .
so was it a one off shop or part of a smaller chain?

Agreed Jon - thats why I only tend to ask the staff in the small non-chain shops -

I tend to find that the more "local" charty shops are better rather than the "chain" ones. Most of the chain ones have new items for sale in them rather than second hand.

sorry did not mean to come across like a twat
cancer research shop
i always ask as you never know whats lurking out the back
the only other item i have found so far apart from this was a small incomplete set that i paid 50p for

must admit i think i could not of timed it any better as the lady said they had not had a chance to have it all valued
she new they were collectable so i paid a decent amount without taking the hiss too much

Well I shall have to start asking staff I reckon cos I hadn't thought of that for some reason.
Mind you,focusing on house clearance companies too.....
