As a trial, the maximum size limit on pictures has been disabled, so your pics should now display OK.
Be aware that over large pictures can be difficult to view - 1024 x 768 pixels gives the best results.

yep, simply register for free with Photobucket, and click 'upload image' then 'open' the file/image you want from your pc ...you can create lots of photo 'albums' (hundreds of photos) for nowt.

Once it saves to PB (only takes a few sconds) you then name it, and then if you hover your mouse cursor over the picture a box appears under it with a few options/links..the one you'll mainly use is 'imgcode'. Highlight the text in the imgcode box, right click on your mouse, click 'copy'

Then on the message you're posting on here, simply right click, and 'paste' the text ...you can preview the photo , then if all ok hit submit...job done!

Can I just add to this PB thing - if you delete pics on PB that have been uploaded to on here, they also delete from here as well. Very strange that.

No, it's not strange. The link just takes you to Photobucket, so if you delete the picture from there, it won't show here.

As Gary_Leeds suggested, you need to use the attachment feature, found below the post box. This makes the photo a permanent feature of the forum.

gave up with photo bucket after two hours
went back to my original computer photo software , resized photos via that in 10mins !!!
at last got my first lot of photos on the forum in subbuteo misc

anyway thanks for the advice about photo bucket probably works fine for everyone else but i could not get on with it

Paint.net is also free software that you can use to resize pictures. I've used it for all mine.

Please note that the maximum size setting for pictures of 1024 x 768 pixels has now been restored, as there have been a number of very large pictures posted recently which have caused problems.

When taking photo's to post on the forum it is much easier to resize the photo on the camera settings. If your camera allows you to do this. I think Cockney suggested this a few weeks ago on another post.

Yeah, that's a great free piece of software - really good for the bulk resizing of a whole load of pics, too.
